The NAACP Fredericksburg Branch promoted exemplary service in education with the Marguerite B. Young Excellence in Education Awards (“MBY Awards”). Three recipients were honored with the 2024 Marguerite B. Young Excellence in Education Awards (“MBY Awards”). The MBY Awards honor Marguerite Bailey Young’s decades of leadership in the City of Fredericksburg and commemorate with gratitude the unique and major impact she has had in advancing the Fredericksburg Branch NAACP. The recipients of these cash awards are selected annually from Fredericksburg City Public School employees.
