Marguerite B. Young: A Servant Leader
Marguerite B. Young is a retired educator for Fredericksburg City Public Schools who served as a teacher, principal, and instructional coordinator. Mrs. Young always exhibited a strong sense of professional excellence that affected thousands of students and hundreds of faculty and staff.
An outstanding leader, Marguerite B. Young served as treasurer of the Fredericksburg Branch NAACP. Her strong leadership and support have ensured the Branch’s continued success.
In recognition of this great servant leader, the Fredericksburg Branch NAACP has established the Marguerite B. Young Excellence in Education Awards to recognize and maintain her legacy.
